Flame haze and snow new from Le Maitre

Pyrotechnics and special effects company Le Maitre has recently added three new items to its portfolio.

Launched at PLASA 2006 is the Fake Flame, which creates the illusion of real gas flames but uses no flammable products.

It's been created for use in theatres, theme parks, nightclubs and at concerts where a flame effect is needed but it would be too dangerous using real gas.

The system produces a linear fire effect of 1.2m wide, this reaching the very edge of the unit so a number of them can be placed side by side.

Also new are the MVS (Multi Venue System) Hazer, which complements the company's existing range of hazers and features variable high output haze and advanced fan motor control for wide range operation, and the Silent Storm Snow Machine.

This throws artificial snowflakes - whose size can be varied - between 3 - 4.5m, which then fall to the ground and disappear in the form of water. It has a built-in two-channel DMX for both fan speed and flow control.
